This project involved creating a detailed 3D virtual representation of a section of Columbia University's campus. The goal was to give prospective students and visitors an immersive, interactive tour experience — showcasing the architectural and spatial qualities of one of New York's most iconic campuses.
I refined existing 3D models, enhancing geometry and details for both realism and performance. This meant finding the balance between visual fidelity and the technical constraints of an interactive real-time environment — every polygon had to earn its place.
I applied textures, set up realistic lighting using Arnold, and prepared the scene for rendering — making sure every corner of the virtual campus felt cohesive, lived-in, and true to the real space.
